THE CAR: 2019 BUICK ENCORE ESSENCE - FWD
For several years now the Buick Encore has been one of my favorite cars to drive. Maybe it’s the streamlined trim-level structure or the hushed cabin at highway speed, or even the standard tech and safety features. Maybe it’s just because it looks good, has a classy interior and is really comfortable and spacious!
This particular subcompact crossover, part of the first Encore generation introduced for 2013, has heated seats, a heated steering wheel and leather seating, The more powerful 153-horsepower engine is also available. The rear seats have an ample amount of headroom and can fit two adults comfortably. There is a small cargo area, which can be forgiven – considering the other aforementioned accouterments.
The Encore handles quite nicely and maneuvers well in tight spots, even though the four-cylinder-138-horsepower acceleration is a bit sluggish. But don’t let that stop you. The 2019 Buick Encore is the bizness!!!
Buick covers the Encore with a four-year/50,000-mile warranty and a six-year/70,000-mile powertrain warranty.
