Let Us Drive A Lexus: GS350, ES350 and IS350

By Darlene Donloe

You’d have to hire someone to help you NOT like a Lexus!!! While driving down the street in the Riviera Red Lexus GS350 4-Dr Sedan, the Fire Agate Pearl ES350 4-Dr Sedan and the Deep Sea Mica IS350 AWD Sedan, I noticed that heads were turning.  Naturally, I thought it was because I was looking particularly fetching. But, no, it was the cars. People were looking and pointing at the cars – and for good reason. To find out why, keep reading!

 IS350 AWD Sedan

THE CAR: 2014 Lexus IS350 AWD Sedan

I like this car a lot. I look good in this car, but to be honest, anyone would! First, it’s a good-looking car. Second, it handles well. Third, there is power under the hood. Fourth, it’s classy. At $50K, one would expect to have all of the above. However, the IS350 is exceptional. It’s not an arrogant car, although, the way it looks and handles, it could be!  It has a confident ride with comfortable seats.  The fuel economy isn’t spectacular, but it’s not awful either. Although I prefer my cup holder near the top of the center console and not the back, given the benefit of driving the IS350, I can learn to live it.

 GS350 4-DR Sedan

THE CAR:  GS350 4-DR Sedan

My parents always told me to stay away from red cars because they attract cops.  They were right about this little red number. It not only attracted cops, it attracted everybody!  Driving this car, which can go from 0-60 in 5.6 seconds, is effortless. It’s as if the car already knew where I wanted to go. The ride is so smooth – it almost feels like you’re floating several inches off the ground. That’s not to say that the car isn’t grounded, because it is. It seems to have a dual characteristic. It hugs the road while somehow suspended in air. Go figure.

 ES350 4-DR Sedan

THE CAR: ES350 4-DR Sedan

If you want comfort, reassurance and luxury, you don’t have to look any further than the ES350. If you want to look stylish, you don’t have to look any further than the ES350. If you want to be the envy of everyone you drive pass, don’t look any further than the ES350.  The car handles exceptionally well and has a charming ride. The display screen has the feel of a video game. You can control everything from the screen, which is bright enough and wide enough to see clearly. It’s well crafted and well equipped. The Plano Black trimmed interior is sharp and classy. This sports sedan is an easy ride packed with satisfaction.

You’re considering purchasing a new car. Not sure what to buy? If you want a vehicle that is robust, you can’t go wrong with either the 2014 Dodge Journey SXT Blacktop or the 2014 Dodge Grand Caravan SXT, which is currently celebrating its 30th Anniversary.

THE CAR: 2014 Grand Caravan SXT

This 30th Anniversary Edition minivan looks good with its granite crystal metallic clear coat exterior and it’s black/light graystone interior and leatherette and suede bucket seats.

This minivan has plenty of room to get you from Point A to Point B. And, you can bring along your friends. For even more space, the Super Stow ‘n Go® Seats can fold flat into the floor.

This minivan is so cool it has a number of firsts.  It’s so cool it’s the first minivan with a Blue-Ray Rear entertainment system. It’s also the first minivan to offer a selectable fuel economizer mode and it’s the first minivan with child safety locks on the sliding door.  While it looks like a minivan, it doesn’t feel or ride like one.

This sporty crossover with a Redline 2-Coat Pearl exterior and black interior with leader-trimmed bucket seats and light gray accent stitching, is very versatile and comfortable.  The drive is average and the pedal is firm. It doesn’t have quick acceleration, but it’s not slow either. I love the panic-stop distance of 124 feet from 60 mph.  Great for group transport. Lots of storage space.   Even ride.
