THE CAR: 2016 VOLT Premier Hatchback
When starting this car it feels like you’re behind the controls
of the Starship Enterprise. It feels ultramodern or futuristic.
Captain’s Log: This car is hella cool! This car ROCKS! This car is sporty! This car looks good and handles well! When the lights come on, some really cool
sounds consume the cabin and it’s a party!
As soon as you pull off, it’s clear you’re not going to have
just an ordinary ride. It’s going to be amazing.
This particular car has a mosaic black metallic exterior and a
jet black/brandy interior. Not only does
it drive well, it looks good! Heads
turn and for good reason – they are wondering why they’re not driving the 2016
Volt!
There are tons of reasons why. It’s eco-friendly! Low fuel costs!! The panel is user
friendly. The sound is full and engulfs
the front and the back. It’s roomy. It’s
both classic and contemporary. Its
gasoline-hybrid powertrain presents a notable all-electric range, more
efficiency and improved acceleration. When you put it in sport mode, that puppy
can get up and GO!!!
If you want to drive using the electric range, you will get
about 53 miles. Of course, it will then click over to the gas engine. But the
best part is, it will recharge the battery. What? Yes! The total driving range is 420 miles. Not bad.
Not bad at all. To fully charge the battery takes 13 hours on the 120V and
about 4.5 hours on the 240V.
This car is quiet. When
getting out of the car you have to remember to push the button to turn it off. The quiet engine and battery won’t remind
you that it's running. It's like the car is saying sssshhhh!
